In short:

Bring us advanced degree related ecotoxicology and we’ll give you the opportunity to develop professionally, working with and learning from some talented scientists in our Shell Health team.

What’s the role?

Working alongside and learning from more senior colleagues, this is a role with great scope to develop. Part of our well-respected Shell Health team (based in The Hague), you’ll build your knowledge of Shell – our products, how we work, what drives us as a business – and learn to apply your (eco)toxicology expertise to solve operational problems and add business value.

On a day-to-day level, your role would be to deliver ecotoxicology hazard and ecological risk assessments. You’ll find there’s a lot of complexity and often ambiguity – there’s no typical brief. You’ll need to adapt quickly to the pace of life at Shell; delivering to fixed deadlines is a key part of the job.

This isn’t a backroom role. You can expect to be liaising with many different contacts across the Shell business, not least colleagues in Shell Health (especially toxicology, ecotoxicology and exposure science) and teams developing chemical, oil and specialty products. Outside the business, you’ll also enjoy dealing with peers at inter-industry and academic level, as well as external regulators.
