Following the feedback from last year\u2019s Annual Meeting, we are excited to announce that this year\u2019s edition will focus on the critical topic microplastics where leading experts will dive deeper into this rapidly evolving field.\u00a0 The theme of the meeting is \u2018Unmasking Microplastics: Impacts, Challenges and Implications for (Eco)Toxicology<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n We are delighted to be co-organizing this year\u2019s edition for the second time with the\u00a0Belgian Environmental Mutagen Society (BEMS)<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a04th of December at Sciensano premises in Brussels<\/strong>\u00a0(Auditorium Storck, Rue Ernest Blerot, 1070 Anderlecht).<\/p>\n During this event, you will receive an introduction and general concepts of\u00a0 to the field of microplastics, you will gain insights into cutting-edge\u00a0detection methodologies<\/strong>, including Pyr-GC\/MS coupled with sp-ICP\/MS and various microscopy techniques, and together we will explore the presence and impact of\u00a0microplastics in agricultural soil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
