text_text_shadow_style=\"none\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]<\/p>\n<h5>Toxicology covers a broad field of interacting disciplines working together and focuses on studying and evaluating adverse effects of chemicals, physical and biological agents on living organisms and the environment, to assess the risks of exposure to these substances for humans, animals and the environment and to advise on measures to minimize adverse effects.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>The aim of the Association is<\/strong> to stimulate and communicate toxicological matters and to promote human, animal and environmental health.<br \/>This is achieved by means of:<br \/>\u2022 serving as the professional Association for toxicology in the Netherlands;<br \/>\u2022 engaging and uniting professionals working in scientific and applied toxicology.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>The mission of the Association is:<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 to communicate and promote the exchange of information among professionals working in scientific and applied toxicology;<br \/>\u2022 to connect with international organizations in the toxicological field;<br \/>\u2022 to promote innovative toxicological research;<br \/>\u2022 to enhance understanding of the principles and practice of toxicology;<br \/>\u2022 to stimulate new insights;<br \/>\u2022 to promote awareness of the field.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>These missions are accomplished via the following activities:<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 organizing and supporting regular symposia and workshops;<br \/>\u2022 organizing an <a href=\"https:\/\/toxicologie.nl\/en\/save-the-date-2\/\">annual wide-ranging scientific meeting<\/a>;<br \/>\u2022 providing recognition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/toxicologie.nl\/en\/education\/\">status of toxicologist through registration and accreditation<\/a>;<br \/>\u2022 developing and providing extensive <a href=\"https:\/\/toxcourses.nl\/\">training and education<\/a> (Postgraduate Education in Toxicology Program (PET));<br \/>\u2022 regular communication on current toxicological matters via the <a
