You need a trainer, if you wish to be registered as a toxicologist in training. In consultation with the trainer you create a training plan and put together a program committee. After successful completion of the training plan approved by the registration committee will follow with registration. When you think that you qualify directly for registration, so without further training, then you do not need a trainer. You will need your own application for registration to the registration committee.

The registration committee compares the content, objectives and seriousness of the non-POT course with that of the learning outcomes of the POT course. Not every POT course has, however, already clearly defined its objectives. The NVT strives to achieve this in the shortest possible time to enable an objective rating. The trainer has a key role in that careful consideration and submission of the training plan with possible requests for exemption. A good basis for a request for an exemption is a prerequisite for the handling of the request by the registration committee. The registration committee considers requests for exemptions in connection with other aspects of a candidate, such as experience and other courses followed. The registration committee meets on average three / four times a year. Once received, the registration committee handles your request at its next meeting. You will receive within a few weeks after the meeting a notice on the decision by the committee.

When the registration committee rejects your request for exemption and / or imposes additional demands on your training, you will receive a written notice. Your trainer will receive a copy of this letter. The letter includes a brief explanation of the decision of the committee. If you object to the refusal, you can consult with your trainer and may object in writing with possible additional arguments. The commission will consider your request again.

Yes. This applies to both compulsory modules and elective modules. The candidate must meet the requirements as stated in Acts 1 (researcher) and 2 (applied toxicology) of the Concilium Toxicologicum. A candidate may, in consultation with the trainer submit a request for exemption for following a POT course, when it considers knowledge and skills obtained in another way. No distinction is made between compulsory modules and elective modules.
